What we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Program Management Office (PMO) Associate (non-technical) to support and enhance our project management efforts in the Marketing team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Jira and project management to ensure efficient workflows, streamline processes, and drive alignment across our various marketing teams. Your strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities will be key to the successful delivery of projects and initiatives.

What you’ll be working on

  • Project Oversight and Documentation: Partner with various project managers and stakeholders to track and monitor projects, allocate resources, and ensure on-time delivery, while documenting the project plan, progress, and completion in JIRA.
  • Jira Administration: Serve as the Jira expert for the team, designing and maintaining workflows, dashboards, and reporting systems to enhance project tracking and visibility.
  • Process Optimization: Implement and refine PMO standards, templates, and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency in project execution.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate regular updates and reporting for leadership and cross-functional teams, clearly conveying project statuses, risks, and priorities.
  • Operational Planning: Maintain and oversee the team’s calendar of key milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure alignment across projects.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, escalating critical issues as needed to ensure project continuity.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, PMO roles, or related fields.
  • Advanced proficiency in Jira, including workflow configuration, dashboard creation, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working in a tech or high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency in additional tools like Confluence, Smartsheet, or Asana.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications).
  • Familiarity with portfolio management tools or techniques.

SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution in problem-solving and decision-making. As such, this opportunity is hybrid and requires you to work from the SurveyMonkey office in Heredia 3 days per week.
