COVID-19 and Reimagining Work

LeanIn.Org|SurveyMonkey poll: Coronavirus paid leave

LeanIn.Org|SurveyMonkey poll: Coronavirus paid leave

A new LeanIn.Org|SurveyMonkey poll finds Americans are virtually unanimous in their agreement that at least some workers should have access to paid leave for illness or quarantine related to the coronavirus (95% selected at least one group of workers from a list).

  • Majorities of Americans (73%) support the new Coronavirus paid leave legislation with virtually little difference in total support by age group, gender, employment status, and among Democrats and Republicans alike.
  • Fully 82%  of Democrats say they are more likely to vote for representatives who vote to make sure all workers in the US have access to paid sick leave during this pandemic. Still a majority, 59% of Republicans would do the same. Few are less likely to vote for their state’s representatives if they vote for expanding paid leave (6% overall)
